My dearest Iggy,

From the moment you came into my life as a little rescue pup when I was only nine years old, you changed my world forever. You weren’t just a dog — you were my shadow, my comfort, my joy, and my very first child. For fifteen wonderful years, you filled my days with wagging tails, wet noses, and the kind of love that only you could give.

You had a spirit that was always playful and full of life. You could run and play endlessly, yet you always knew when to slow down and curl up beside me when I was upset. Your cuddles healed hurts that no words could, and your happy face greeted me every single day as though I was the most important person in the world.

You grew with me through so many seasons of my life. You were there when I was still just a girl, learning about the world. You stayed by my side as I grew into an adult, and when I became a mother, you welcomed my daughter as if she was your own. You were patient, gentle, and loving, watching over her in her first two years of life. You’ll always be part of her story too.

Letting you go was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I know you’re at peace now. Your body may rest, but your spirit will always run free in my heart. The house feels emptier without your paws padding around, but I will carry you with me forever — in every memory, every laugh, every moment of comfort you gave me.

Thank you, my sweet Iggy, for teaching me about love, loyalty, and joy. Thank you for choosing me, for growing up with me, and for being my best friend. You will always be my girl.
