IN LIEFDEVOLLE HERINNERING AAN ZURI

My Liefste Honde kind Zuri,
Jy was my skaduwee, orals saam my geloop, altyd langs my sy.
Altyd aan die gesêls-blaf, jy het my laat weet as dit kos tyd en stap tyd is.
Jy was so lief vir skoene kou as baba hondjie en tot op die einde, altyd by my voete.
Jy was so lief vir water en badskuim op jou neus. In die somer het jy in jou badjie in die tuin geplons, akkedisse gejaag en in die son gesit en bak. As ek plante natspuit was jy altyd by my, tussen my bene om te sien waar ek natspuit.
Jy het altyd in die sakkies gekrap as ek terug was van die winkels, as die kos kas se deur oopgaan was jy binne om te ruik en soek na iets lekkers.
Of ek net weg was vir 5 min of 5 dae, jy het my altyd gegroet as ek terug is met jou blaf, kop tussen my bene gedruk en dan moes ek jou rug vryf tot jy jou voete uitskop en plat gaan lê.
Jy was my eerste Honde kind met die mooiste persoonlikheid. Jou plek is nou leeg, jou stem is stil.
My hart is stukkend en ek gaan jou virewig mis.
Luna soek jou en verstaan nie mooi hoekom jy nie terug kom nie.
Rus sag my honde kind. Ek is oneindig lief vir jou. Tot ek jou weer sien.
