I got you on order and waited six long months for you. Your name, Abbygail, was chosen before you were even born. And then, finally, the day came when I got to hold you. You were so tiny that on your first day with us, you fitted perfectly into my hand.

From the very beginning, you were an angel. You never caused mischief, never picked fights, never made a mess. You were simply a beautiful little soul who brought light into every single day of our lives.

You were so much more than our dog. You were our baby girl. Our Poplap. Our Abby. Our Swirly Tail. You were our safe place, our comfort, and somehow, always our little therapist when we needed you. You gave us your love without ever asking for anything in return.

Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for being our baby girl. Thank you for every cuddle, every look, every little moment and every memory that we will carry in our hearts forever.

I know your wings were ready, my baby, but our hearts were not ready to let you go. Now you can run. You can play. You can jump as high as you want. You can be young and free again, with no pain, no tiredness and nothing holding you back. Just be happy, my precious girl.
