My liewe, lawwe Rusty Rust,
Ek was oneindig lief vir jou my liefie-kind, en sal vir ewig en altyd wees. My lewe sal nooit weer dieselfde wees sonder jou nie. Gaan jou so baie mis my seun!
Gaan rus nou sag saam oupa in Jesus se arms.
There’s something missing in my home,
I feel it day and night,
I know it will take time and strength
Before things feel quite right.
But just for now, I need to mourn,
My heart – it needs to mend.
Your brothers and sister do not understand,
but they know they have lost their brother and friend.
You’ve brought such laughter to my home,
And richness to my days…
A constant friend through joy and loss,
With your gentle loving ways.
Companion, pal, and confidante,
My little boy I won’t forget,
You’ll live for always in my heart,
Our sweet forever Rusty Rust…
