A Faithful Friend. Forever Loved.

There are some souls who leave paw prints so deep on our hearts that they remain long after they are gone. We say goodbye to our beloved Caliber—our loyal companion, protector, comedian, gentle giant, and best friend. From the day he bounded into our lives, Caliber filled our home with unconditional love, muddy paws, slobbery kisses, and countless memories that we will treasure forever.

His enormous size was matched only by his even bigger heart. Life didn’t make things easy for him. He faced Wobbler Syndrome with incredible courage, underwent surgeries, battled pain, and later fought yet another cruel challenge. Through it all, he never lost the sparkle in his beautiful amber eyes, his excitement when his family came home, his happy “song,” or his endless desire to be close to the people he loved. Caliber taught us what resilience truly looks like. He showed us that love isn’t measured in words but in quiet companionship, a gentle nudge of a massive head, a wagging tail, and simply being there.

Our home feels quieter now. The empty spaces where he loved to lie seem far too big. We already miss the sound of his footsteps, the way he filled every room with his presence, and the comfort of knowing our gentle guardian was always nearby. Although our hearts are broken, we find peace in believing he is finally free—running without pain, strong once more, reunited with those who went before him. We like to imagine him receiving endless scratches, chasing balls with effortless joy, and watching over us until we meet again.

Thank you, Caliber, for every cuddle, every adventure, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment of unconditional love. You were never “just a dog.” You were family. You were our heart.
