IN LOVING MEMORY OF RUSTY

19 May 2014 – 2 July 2023

The day me and my family saw Rusty as a young puppy, we immediately knew he would be coming home with us. Little did we know however just how much he would impact our lives and be a source of laughter, shouting and love. He always had a strong bond with my mother, always running to her once he had been told he was naughty and despite all the arguments my dad would have with him, we would often find Rusty sleeping tightly against him in the night.

Rusty had been with us for such a long time now, even travelling overseas with us when our family moved. Going so far as to destroy both his and his brother’s cages so badly when they arrived at the BnB we stayed at. During December 2021 when I was staying at that BnB alone with him and his siblings, we had a lot of fun and sometimes frustrations, perhaps the best moment was seeing him reunited with my mother once again when they finally arrived. Over the years he would never leave my mother’s side, sleeping in her office while she worked late at nights and then going to bed with her when she was done, he also always cuddled up next to her when watching films, shows and movies.

He will always have a place in our hearts, and he is already so sorely missed by our family.
