IN LOVING MEMORY OF PABLO

When we picture our house, we never pictured four walls and a garden. When we pictured our house, we envisioned a home, a home that now feels empty, it feels like the thing that kept us all together is missing, it’s gone, and we’ll never get that back.

Our home was Pablo. He made our family whole, he was our golden child, he radiated love and happiness. We never understood how something as small as him, could be so special. He couldn’t talk, but he made everyone of us smile, and laugh and feel loved. Pablo was there to lick our tears, he was there to bark at any sound to protect us, he was there to run after every ball we threw and there to snore his way through a cuddle we needed him to give, you could always count on him to be behind any door, tail wagging and never let you use the bathroom alone.

Pablo was also always the problem child, and I think he liked it too. He enjoyed having to be hand fed because the bowl didn’t seem as appealing, he loved the car rides to the vets, he loved the hugs and the kisses he got when his tummy made weird noises. Pablo loved chicken, and sailing, he loved staring at us and judging, he loved being chased and showing us his bum, he loved kisses and being brushed, I wish we had so many more years of giving him all the things he loved. Because that’s what Pablo deserved.

Pablo was our perfect baby boy, who brought us so much joy, we were so lucky and blessed to have him in our lives. We hope wherever he may be now, he knows how much we love him, how much we miss him, and how much our home just feels like a house without him.
