IN LOVING MEMORY OF MADDI
Maddison Patterson our precious Pie,
With broken hearts we say goodbye.
To your calico coat and fluffy white thighs,
to your quirky attitude and your green speckled eyes.
You loved your baths especially in sand,
And sitting beside mum’s while she wet you with her hand.
But dad was your person, that much is true,
Especially at mealtimes, you had him running after you.
Each night you had a different place you’d choose, exactly where it was that you’d eat your food.
In the end your preference was to catch your own dinner, pigeon or mouse- you were always a winner.
We’ll never forget how talkative you were, Where were we?, what’s happening? – you had to make sure.
You adored rubbing up and cuddling your brother, is was beautiful to see the love you had for each other.
Your granny’s would get special hugs when they came, reminding us all that you were actually tame.
From nature you came and back you must go, the loss of your presence, on my face it will show.
16 years we had you – every day was a treat,
Until next time my Maddi, my Angel, my sweet.
