IN HERINNERING AAN ZYLA

Zyla,
Die hartseer wat ek nou voel is iets wat ek vir niemand kan verduidelik nie, ek het jou en jou sussie gekry toe is julle nie eers 2 weke oud nie, so klein my hand palm was groter as julle. Dit was ‘n geswoeg en gesweet gewees om julle groot te kry, oral saam my gegaan, elke 2 ure se melk gee.
Jy was regtig my baba, jy is my hart, ek sal jou nooit kan vervang nie.
Jy het my oral agtervolg, neer geslaan en gewag om gevryf the word, water uit die wasbak kraan gedrink en gespoeg as ‘n mens jou gevryf het.
12 jaar later moet ek jou groet en my lewe sal nooit weer dieselfde wees sonder jou nie.
Zylie vir jou is ek bitter lief.
“The reality is that I will grieve you forever. I will not get over the loss of you, I will learn to live with it. I will heal and I will rebuild myself around the loss I suffered.
I will be whole again but never the same, and nor do I ever want to be the same without you”
The meaning of the name “Zyla” is: “A follower; quiet and calm, a reflection of oneself”.
